Leeds airport

The airport is situated 9 miles north-west of Leeds and 8 miles north-east of Bradford, just off the A658, (Bradford to Harrogate road). The airport is well signposted from the M1, M62 and Yorkshire section of the A1. Short and long term parking is available. Car hire is available from the airport. Nearest railway station is Horsforth, some 10 minutes away by taxi. Trains run every half an hour from Leeds City during the day and once an hour off peak. Taxis cost approximately £5.00. There's also an Airlink coach service to and from Leeds City Station connecting with local Metro. The total area of the site is 328 acres, with approximately 65% covered by vegetation and soil and 35% by tarmac, asphalt and concrete. There are 2 runways at LBA, the primary runway is 2250m long (designated 14/32), and the secondary runway is 1100m long (designated 09/27).
