London City airport

London City Airport is situated 6 miles east of the City of London, about 15 minutes' drive -- traffic permitting -- from Tower Bridge, and a further 20-30 minutes from the West End. From outside London drive there via the M11/A11 (Junction 27 of the M25) or via the A12 (Junction 28 of the M25). Car hire is available from the airport. The Jubilee Line on London Underground runs to Canning Town, from where there is a frequent shuttle bus straight to the airport. Liverpool Street station on the Hammersmith & City, Circle and Metropolitan Lines also runs a shuttle bus to the airport. DLR (Docklands Light Rail) runs trains to Canary Wharf where there is also a shuttle bus. Silverlink Metro runs overland trains every 30 minutes from North London to Canning Town. A shuttle bus runs to the airport from Canning Town, Liverpool Street and Canary Wharf stations, every 5-7 minutes. The number 473 bus runs to the airport from North Woolwich, and Silvertown, and the 69 bus runs from Walthamstow. The 474 bus runs to Becton. See London Transport for more details.
