 Southampton airport

Southampton International Airport, which opened in December 1994, is one of Europe's most modern regional airports. The airport handles around 860,000 passengers per year, to around 20 destinations. Southampton airport is located just off Junction 5 of the M27. It is 4 miles away from Southampton city centre, and only a mile away form the M3 motorway (Junction 14). Short and long term parking is available. Car hire is available from the airport. Southampton Airport (Parkway) Station is only 50 metres from the terminal building and 3 trains run every hour to and from London Waterloo (the journey takes just over an hour). Bus 101 runs from the airport to Southampton city centre.
