Newcastle airport

With passenger numbers now reaching the 3.3 million mark, Newcastle Airport looks set to reach new heights. Newcastle Airport is 6 miles to the northwest of the city centre (about 15 minutes drive). From the city centre take the A696 dual carriageway northwest and follow signs to the airport. Short and long term parking is available. Car hire is available from the airport. The nearest railway station is Newcastle Central, which has excellent connections to Scotland and the Midlands. From Newcastle Central in the City Centre the Metro then takes you directly to the airport in 23 minutes. The Metro also links Gateshead, South Tyneside, the coast and North Tyneside to the airport.
